The Vision: A Letter from the Founders

From edge-to-orbit sensors in Earth's last wild frontiers, we stream real-time data that powers premium carbon credits, live wildlife media, and breakthrough conservation science.

We started Geome with a moon‑shot goal: build the "nature intelligence" layer for the planet. Just as language‑model labs need Common Crawl, climate and biodiversity models need ground‑truth data from the world's last intact ecosystems. But getting actionable images, sounds, and telemetry out of places like the Congo Basin has always been slow, patchy, and expensive. We saw a chance to fix that.

Models that protect nature need better data.

Satellite pixels alone can't tell you whether a bonobo troop is thriving, a chainsaw just started, or an elephant was poached. High‑integrity carbon credits, ranger AI copilots, and open‑world animal models all hit the same wall: no dense, time‑stamped, verifiable field data. Existing camera traps ship SD cards once a year; acoustic loggers drown in noise. Researchers lose months; enforcement loses minutes.

Talking to conservation scientists and policy teams, we realised the missing layer was an edge‑to‑orbit stack purpose‑built for wildlife. So we built it.

Six months in the field, three value streams online.

1. Carbon integrity. Our Salonga grid aims to underpin a REDD+ project covering 33 500 km²—Africa's biggest primary rainforest block—combining satellite baselines with indisputable on‑ground evidence running first audit end of Q4 2026, targeting premium prices for "true‑witness" credits.

2. Real‑time wildlife media. The same sensor mesh generates a 24/7 "planet‑earth‑as‑a‑service" channel. Early test streams will launch live on TikTok and YouTube soon.

3. Research‑as‑a‑Service. Our Max Planck & WWF partners use the feed to study bonobo social behaviour and elephant rumble dialects from their offices, compressing a year of fieldwork into a browser tab.

What's next.

Scale to 1 000 units. Seed capital lets us triple hardware production in our base and open two new corridors in Salonga's north block.
Marketplace launch. Tokenised Geome Credits go live on‑chain in partnership with a Tier‑1 exchange, enabling instant retirement and traceability.
New biomes. Pilot deployments in other countries are in scoping now.

Join us.

We're a lean, execution‑obsessed crew of conservation biologists, embedded‑systems engineers, and ex‑media producers. In the past month we've logged $20 k in hardware revenue and cover seven‑figure carbon‑credit of terrain worth LOIs, hit >90 % precision on gunshot detection in dense canopy, and turned a remote rainforest into a live classroom for 1 000 students locally.

If amplifying nature with AI and turning CO₂ into story‑driven value lights you up, we'd love to meet you. We're hiring founding engineers (embedded, ML, Rust/CUDA), marketeers, and our first field‑ops manager in Kinshasa.
